Paint in the Great Outdoors!

Artists of all experience levels working in any media are invited to come out and paint the natural landscapes of Chicago's wilderness regions. We paint our heritage landscapes, many of which have been cultivated by stewards and supporters of open space (see the locations link for in-depth descriptions of some of the areas the group has worked in).

Open to anyone who wishes to participate, with no fees, the group provides a chance for artists of every skill level to work for three or four hours each session - free from daily distractions - in the company of like-minded peers.

The group meets at a specified location once monthly on Saturday or Sunday from 8:30 til noon - year-round; weather permitting.

While there is no instruction or critique to be offered, the group will seek to conduct a group show once or twice a year when and where feasible.
